War causes men to focus on what divides humans. Finding peace after war must be met with tenacity. Most days peace is but a stubbornly persistent illusion. In war, we served a cause greater than ourselves. In peace, we should continue that tradition. Lives lost in war were half the issue. The other half is the survivor. 

 

PTSD is about more than trauma. It is about lost dreams. Lost need. Lost friendships.
